The Senior Commercial Underwriter position is responsible for underwriting and developing new business for our client, while effectively developing and managing their business relationship with key brokers. Additionally, the role is responsible for profitably underwriting new and larger accounts in core customer segments.

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying business development opportunities within each key broker's book of business including the development of a prospects list for the region.
• Underwriting new business as presented by a broker's office.
• Achieving assigned monthly sales goals.
• Introducing new products to market, including development and delivery of product presentations to all brokers.
• Introducing and managing various marketing and sales initiative programs.
• Acquiring and maintain senior level underwriting skills.

Required experience:

• Developed knowledge and applied experience in the application of industry legislation and regulations; knowledge of industry objectives, trends and issues.
• 7-10 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
• Demonstrable sales and marketing experience.
