Required Experience
The successful candidate reporting to the Claims Manager, will assist in the efficient and effective workings of the claims division.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain claim files by collecting the necessary information and documentation to establish and process each claim, and then closes claim files upon completion..
- Processes payments and reserves, with the authority of Claims Representatives, and ensures the prompt and accurate delivery of payments.
- Fields customer inquiries and concerns with superior customer service, practical thinking, and a sense of urgency.
- Prepares correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Photocopies and /or distributes claims documents as required.
- Processes minor claims on a direct handle basis within prescribed authority levels.
- Liaise with claims adjusters, underwriters and brokers on the status of claims files, and assigns external adjusters upon the direction of claims adjusters.
Required experience:
- 2+ years of insurance industry experience.
- Good time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to perform in a highly structured and detail oriented environment.
- Strong general computer knowledge with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook.

Educational Requirements
